I have hand-fabricated jewelry since 1987. I compose my pieces in sterling and/or 14K gold. Many pieces are unique and never to be repeated. Each one usually consists of stones as well as precious metals. All parts (bezel, wire decoration, bails, shanks, bracelet frames, etc.) are formed by hand with simple hand and power tools. I also cut and polish many of my cabachons. Design, construction and finish processes are all done by me.
Faceted stones and cabachons form a basis for desirable. ready-to-wear art pieces. What you see is the result of many hours of personal study and experimentation in techniques, as I am a self-taught artist. I have been constructing jewelry full time for 17 years. Although no guarantee of gaining wealth, being self- employed can provide one a means of living if one is professional in pursuit of it. A ready acceptance by an appreciative public generates enough encouragement to continue. I make an effort to utilize the hours of my days to improve my craft, knowledge, and appreciation for others and for life.
